Contemporary Artist
Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts in 1989, and completed his graduate studies there in 1991. Made his debut in 1993 with the exhibition fo(u)rtunes part2 at Roentgen Kunst Institut. His practice spans painting, photography, video, and installation, addressing themes of society, history, desire, violence, and humor.
Best known for the War Picture Returns series, Jumble of 100 Flowers, and Monument for Nothing.
